Our Code of Conduct

The standards our practitioners work to, and what you are entitled to expect from us.

Wellbeing George Nutrition is a clinical nutrition practice based in Victoria. Practices like ours work under a code set by law: the Code of Conduct for General Health Services, made under the Health Complaints Act 2016 (Vic). It applies to every practitioner here.

It is worth knowing what that code commits us to, because it is what you are entitled to expect every time you work with us.

What the Code requires of us

  • Practise safely and honestly, and stay inside the limits of our training, qualifications and experience.
  • Refer you on, or recommend you see your GP, when something sits outside what nutrition can help with.
  • Never discourage you from seeking or continuing care from your doctor or any other treating practitioner.
  • Be clear about what our consultations and functional tests can and cannot tell you, and never claim to diagnose, treat or cure a condition.
  • Be upfront about fees before you commit to anything.
  • Keep your health information confidential and your records secure.
  • Hold current professional indemnity insurance.

Our practitioners are also members of the Australian Natural Therapists Association and practise under its Code of Professional Ethics. You can read the Victorian code in full on the Health Complaints Commissioner's website.

If something is not right

We would much rather hear about it. Tell us what happened and we will work it through with you.

Email us

You can also raise a concern independently, at any time, with Victoria's Health Complaints Commissioner. You do not need our agreement to do that, and it does not affect your care with us.
