Not every test is the right first step. This hub helps you compare nutrient, gut, hormone, food reaction and longevity testing guides so you can understand what each test may show, what it does not show, and when practitioner interpretation may help.
Choose a testing area and compare the matching guides.
Select a category below to narrow the guide list. This keeps the page easy to use while still linking clearly to every important testing guide.
NutriSTAT Test Australia
Best for a broad blood and urine view of nutrient, metabolic, fatty acid, amino acid and organic acid patterns.
Organic Acids Test Australia
Best for urine metabolite context around energy pathways, nutrient demand, oxidative stress and selected gut-related patterns.
SIBO Breath Test Australia
Best when the main question is hydrogen and methane breath gas patterns related to bloating, gas or bowel changes.
Gut Microbiome Test Australia
Best for a stool-based view of selected gut microbiome, digestive, ecology and inflammation-related patterns.
Food Intolerance Test Australia
Best for a 96-food IgG reactivity screen to guide structured elimination, rotation or reintroduction planning.
DUTCH Complete Hormone Test Australia
Best for detailed dried urine sex hormone, adrenal hormone, metabolite, cortisol rhythm and melatonin context.
Well Woman Hormone Test Australia
Best for a focused saliva hormone and adrenal rhythm profile covering cortisol patterns, DHEA and selected female hormone markers.
TruAge Biological Age Test Australia
Best for a broader epigenetic ageing report with biological age, pace of ageing and longevity-related patterns.
Telomere Length Test Australia
Best for a focused cellular ageing marker related to telomere length and biological age context.
NutriSTAT Test Australia
Best when you want a broad nutrition-focused profile rather than one isolated marker.
Organic Acids Test Australia
Best when you want a focused urine metabolite view of energy pathways, nutrient demand and selected gut-related markers.
SIBO Breath Test Australia
Best when bloating, gas or bowel changes may relate to hydrogen or methane breath gas patterns.
Gut Microbiome Test Australia
Best when you want broader stool-based gut ecology and microbiome context.
Food Intolerance Test Australia
Best when the main question is food reactivity, not allergy or full gut ecology.
DUTCH Complete Hormone Test Australia
Best for detailed hormone output, metabolites, cortisol rhythm and broader hormone pattern context.
Well Woman Hormone Test Australia
Best for a more focused saliva hormone and adrenal rhythm profile.
TruAge Biological Age Test Australia
Best for a broader epigenetic biological age and pace-of-ageing profile.
Telomere Length Test Australia
Best for a focused cellular ageing marker related to telomere length.
These pages are here to help you avoid choosing the wrong test.
Many people arrive at functional testing because they want clearer answers. That is understandable, but more testing is not always better. The right test depends on your symptoms, health history, current bloodwork, budget, goals and whether you need medical care first.
Each guide explains what the test may show, what it does not do, how it compares with related tests, and when it may be smarter to start with a consultation, bloodwork review or free strategy chat.

Each guide is designed to be practical, not just educational. Read the guide first if you are unsure what the test measures or whether it is the right next step.
NutriSTAT Test Australia
A broad blood and urine profile for nutrient, metabolic, fatty acid, amino acid and organic acid context.
Organic Acids Test Australia
A urine metabolite test for energy pathways, nutrient demand, oxidative stress and selected gut-related patterns.
DUTCH Complete Hormone Test Australia
A dried urine hormone test for sex hormones, adrenal hormones, metabolites, cortisol rhythm and melatonin context.
Well Woman Hormone Test Australia
A focused saliva hormone and adrenal rhythm profile for cortisol patterns, DHEA and selected female hormone markers.
SIBO Breath Test Australia
A breath test focused on hydrogen and methane gas patterns after a substrate such as lactulose.
Gut Microbiome Test Australia
A stool-based test for selected gut microbiome, digestive, gut ecology and inflammation-related patterns.
Food Intolerance Test Australia
A 96-food IgG reactivity screen that may help guide structured elimination, rotation or reintroduction planning.
TruAge Biological Age Test Australia
An at-home epigenetic biological age test for biological age, pace of ageing and selected longevity-related patterns.
Telomere Length Test Australia
A focused biological age test that measures telomere length as a cellular ageing-related marker.
Still unsure which guide to open first?
These pathways are not diagnoses. They are a practical way to decide which educational guide may be most relevant before you spend money on testing.
Start with NutriSTAT or Organic Acids.
These guides are useful when your main questions relate to nutrient status, metabolic patterns, energy pathways, recovery, oxidative stress or broad nutritional context.
Start with SIBO, Gut Microbiome or Food Intolerance.
These guides help separate three common questions: breath gas patterns, stool microbiome patterns and food IgG reactivity patterns.
Start with DUTCH Complete or Well Woman.
DUTCH Complete is broader and includes hormone metabolites. Well Woman is more focused on saliva hormone and adrenal rhythm patterns.
Start with TruAge or Telomere Length.
TruAge is a broader epigenetic ageing report. Telomere Length is a more focused cellular ageing marker.
Compare testing options or get help choosing.
If you already know the test you want, read the matching guide and then view the product page. If you are deciding between two or more tests, a quick conversation can help you avoid unnecessary testing.
You do not need to choose alone.
A quick strategy chat can help you work out whether a functional test, bloodwork review, nutrition consultation or no testing at all is the most sensible next step.
Functional testing guide FAQs
What is functional testing?
Functional testing is a broad term for tests that may provide extra nutrition, gut, hormone, metabolic or longevity context. These tests do not replace medical care, and results should be interpreted alongside symptoms, history, lifestyle and relevant pathology.
How do I know which functional test to choose?
Start with the question you are trying to answer. Nutrient and metabolic questions may suit NutriSTAT or Organic Acids. Gut questions may suit SIBO or Gut Microbiome testing. Hormone questions may suit DUTCH Complete or Well Woman. Longevity questions may suit TruAge or Telomere Length testing.
Should I order a test or book a consultation first?
If you already know which test you want, you can read the guide and view the product page. If you have multiple concerns, recent bloodwork, a complex health history or are choosing between tests, a free strategy chat or consultation can help decide the best pathway.
Do these tests diagnose disease?
No. The functional tests listed by Wellbeing George are used for nutrition, lifestyle and wellness support. They are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Do I need a GP referral?
You do not usually need to organise a GP referral before ordering through Wellbeing George. However, new, severe, worsening or unexplained symptoms should be discussed with your GP or specialist.
Can I use these guides before buying a test?
Yes. These guides are designed to help you understand what each test may show, what it does not show, and whether it is worth considering before you spend money.
Testing should be interpreted carefully.
